Basic Manners

No longer referred to as “obedience” training, our basic manners class will start you and your dog off on the right foot with foundation behaviors such as “watch me” and hand targeting, and will progress over the course of six weeks to teach cues like sit, stay, down, wait, leave it, and
drop it. We will also work on curbing unwanted behaviors, such as leash pulling and jumping up.

– 6 classes, group setting
– First session is an orientation, no dog present
– Vaccination records required
– Cost: $125

Puppy Classes

Our puppy classes are structured to give you and your new family member the very best start. You’ll learn about what puppies need in order to be successful members of your household, and how you can ensure your puppy grows up to be a well-behaved, well-socialized, happy and confident member of your family. We cover things like puppy sleep schedules, potty training, crate training, loose leash walking, how to stop inappropriate chewing, and what appropriate
play looks like.

About our Trainer

Our trainer, Serica Morgan, was born in Santa Barbara and raised in the Santa Ynez Valley. She graduated with honors from the Animal Behavior College Dog Trainer’s program in March of 2024, after having done her externship at Santa Barbara Humane with special focuses in reactivity and fear. Serica has been passionate about dogs since she was very young, and has worked in animal care her entire adult life. She uses only science-backed, reward-based, positive reinforcement training techniques for all dogs and is a firm believer in continuing her own education and training so she can help more dogs and their guardians. Serica truly believes that all dogs are good dogs, and with proper guidance, all dog owners can be good dogs, too!
