January 2023, my husband Scott and I were matched with Pepper (formerly Shelley). We were very nervous and excited about adopting a dog and Pepper could not have been a better fit for our family. She has the best dog life ever and is an amazing, fun, sweet and sassy girl! She loves going on road trips and camping with us. But her most favorite activity in the world is going to the dog beach at Avila Beach where she can chase her ball and meet other like-minded dogs. Thank you for allowing us to rescue Pepper. Our lives are so much better with her in it!
